New article up about a movie I like and other people don’t like, if they’ve even seen it.

This article marks the first time I’ve been able to insert a Youtube clip into a real article. I got the clip off my dvd, as some of you may know I hadn’t had a lot of luck with that. Today that changed and hopefully more movie reviews shall result from this.

This particular article isn’t exactly a laugh a minute one. I spiced it up with some jokes but really I just wanted to pay a long over due tribute to a movie I happen to like. It’s the very first thing I had written down to cover when I decided to start my own site and it’s long been something I’ve wanted to cover on the blog. This one is for me in other words.

I didn’t announce the contest because even after it’s over, I still don’t know what to give out as a prize. Dan, most famous for his low calorie potato salad (make sure you ask him about it on his blog), has made this blog’s 1000th comment. I’ll get back to him and you sometime when I decide what he deserves.

In other news

I saw a girl at Wal-mart today who kind of looked like Megan Fox without the freckles.

I’ve been playing way too many video game demos. I fear this new pc is going to kill what little productivity I ever had. Spore comes out in a week and it’s going to be really hard to resist spending money I don’t have, especially with this whole digital purchase thing. Then there’s Steam and the whole Half-Life series I I need to catch up on. Unreal Tournament 3 and Bioshock all work well enough on here for me to consider buying. Oblivion and Gears of War are two titles I’d like to have too. Fallout 3 . . . ah, damn it.

Last week was an absolute ass kicking on me. Besides the time I spent setting up the new PC for myself and a little bit of time playing previously said game demos, it was all work work work. I didn’t get any sleep or food so last night I made up for that by eating a big meal of smoked sausage, fried potatoes, corn on the cob and biscuits. I followed that up by going to bed at 5:30 in the evening. I hope this week is all smoked sausages and sleep.

I’ve got some more articles on the back burner of my brain but among everything else, it’s kind of hard to motivated to actually write. I actually did start a movie review the other day as I should be able to get clips off of dvds now without spending an excessive amount of time ripping them, however, I can’t find software that I’m comfortable using to do that with yet. I might have to bite the bullet and get something not free, as all of the free programs have been confusing, only half English and buggy.

Please don’t use the comments section of this post to talk about salts. That would really bother me.
